Shrewsbury Ark	The white box is again in place at the back of the Church to accept any donations of non-perishable goods (including laundry materials) for the Ark.
	"With Recycling Appeal, fund raising is easy - the more printer cartridges and mobile phones you donate, the greater the benefits to Christian Aid and the environment. Christian Aid works in over 50 countries to stop poverty, speak out where there is injustice and campaign for change. This valuable work costs money so recycling old mobile phones and printer cartridges to raise funds for Christian Aid really makes sense." Please drop any used cartridges or unwanted mobile phones into the box at the back of the Church.
Sunday 3rd July 2011	1st Sunday of the month - when traditionally there is a Cake Stall after each service. Please donate a cake or cakes, or buy them. Proceeds to Church funds.
Saturday 18th June 2011	Oxon Church Junior Choir hosted a Strawberry Tea at the Vicarage.	Many thanks to all - the event raised £115 for choir & Church funds.
Saturday 23rd July 2011	Can you spend an hour or two RAISING FUNDS for the Church by helping Shoppers pack their bags at The Co-operative, Bicton Heath? From 0900 to 1600 hours. If YES, then please sign up - there are forms in the Church, the Community Hall and the Co-op. I'll let you know timings in advance of the day. Saturday 10th September 2011	It's time to limber up for a SPONSORED RIDE AND STRIDE organised by THE SHROPSHIRE HISTORIC CHURCHES TRUST. The ride began in Suffolk in 1982. Thirty-two counties, including our neighbours Cheshire, Staffordshire and Herefordshire and the Church of Wales are taking part. Participants may cross county boundaries and their sponsorship forms will be signed in the same way. Lists of churches open in these counties will be available online at www.shropshirerideandstride.co.uk Full details will be available from me in early July - but if you are planning to ride or stride let me know now and I'll ensure that you receive these details when I do. 50% of the funds raised go to the Shropshire Historic Churches Trust and the other 50% to Christ Church. Key points: Gift Aid sponsorship from Tax-payers swells what you raise without any cost to you. Use the Justgiving website. If you work with or responsible for or a member of a youth club, Scouts, Guides, cycle clubs, young farmers, WIs etc then can you persuade them to sign up?
